By the time Elizabeth reached the age of six months, her mother noticed that she was different than her other two children. Within a year, Lucinda White learned her daughter had Cerebral Palsy. By the age of three, Elizabeth's only means of mobility was a wheelchair.

Like many families dealing with the same issues, White often finds that, "A major frustration in finding businesses that are handicap-accessible. Often a business will have access, but the handicap entrance is in the back of the building, almost like they were ashamed to serve the physically challenged."
